Stream-Z ("the App", "we", "our", or "us") is a media player application that supports user-provided playlists and streams, including M3U, M3U8, and Xtream formats.
1. About Stream-Z
Stream-Z is only a video/media player. We do not provide, host, sell, upload, or distribute any TV channels, movies, series, or other media content.
Users are responsible for adding and using their own playlists/stream URLs/Xtream credentials and for ensuring they have the legal rights to access such content.
2. Data We Process
A) User-provided inputs (stored locally)
To use the player, you may provide:
- M3U / M3U8 playlist URLs
- Xtream server URL, username, and password
- App preferences (favorites, settings)
This information is used only to provide player functionality and is typically stored locally on your device.
B) Subscription/license verification (server-side)
To unlock premium access (for example, removing an access/login screen), verify subscription/license status, and prevent abuse, Stream-Z uses a server API and may process and store:
Device verification data
- A hashed device identifier (a one-way hash derived from a device identifier) used to recognize a device for licensing verification without storing the raw device identifier
- Last activity timestamp (e.g., the last time the device checked license status)
- Revocation status/timestamp (only if a device/license is blocked for security reasons)
License data
- License start and end dates
- License status (e.g., active/expired/revoked)
- Maximum allowed devices for the license
- Internal identifiers linking the license to the Stream-Z app and to the account/reseller/client records used to manage the license
Purpose: app functionality (license/subscription verification), security, fraud/abuse prevention, and ensuring reliable service.
C) Server logs
When the App connects to our server, our systems may log basic technical data necessary for secure operation and troubleshooting (for example, request timestamps and network information such as IP address) for a limited period.
D) No ads / no tracking SDKs
Stream-Z does not use advertising SDKs and does not use third-party analytics or crash reporting SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics). We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, or cross-app tracking.
3. How We Use Data
We use data only to:
- Provide media player functionality
- Verify and manage subscription/license access
- Enforce device limits and prevent fraudulent activation
- Maintain security and troubleshoot service issues
We do not sell personal data.
4. Data Sharing
We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
We may disclose information only if required by law or to protect the security and integrity of Stream-Z.
5. Data Retention
- Device verification data (hashed device identifier, timestamps, revocation status): retained as long as needed to provide license verification and prevent abuse, then deleted or anonymized when no longer necessary.
- License records (start/end/status/device limits and related internal references): retained as long as needed to manage licensing/subscription access and comply with legal/security requirements, then deleted or anonymized when no longer necessary.
- Server logs (may include IP address): retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted or anonymized.
6. User Controls and Deletion
Most playlist/Xtream data and preferences are stored locally and can be removed by:
- Removing playlists inside the App
- Clearing the App's storage/data
- Uninstalling the App
If you want to request deletion of server-stored licensing identifiers related to your device/license, contact us at stream-z@stream-z.app. We may retain limited information where required for security, fraud prevention, billing/refunds/chargebacks, or legal compliance.
7. Permissions
Stream-Z may request only the permissions needed for core features, such as:
- Internet / Network access (required for streaming and license verification)
- Storage / Media access (only if you import local playlists/files)
8. Children's Privacy
Stream-Z is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
